People who used to live on Charlemont Street have watched their old homes be demolished.
Charlemount Gardens is being demolished along with French Mullen House to make way for a new development.
While no contract has been signed to build the new complex, Lord Mayor Oisin Quinn says he’s confident that’ll happen soon.
Other stalled regeneration projects may get off the ground but the Lord Mayor says they have to look into it.
It’s hopes that construction on the new complex on Charlemount Street will begin later this year with the first residents moving in in 2016.
