Vigils have been held around Ireland to remember Ashling Murphy.
The 23-year-old schoolteacher was attacked and killed while out jogging along the Grand Canal in Tullamore, Co Offaly on Wednesday afternoon.
The National Women's Council held its #VigilForAshling outside the Dáil at 4.00pm, while another gathering took place in Tullamore.
This was the scene outside the Dáil in Dublin city earlier:
A minute's silence was also held to remember her, with Taoiseach Micheál Martin among those in attendance.
Her friend, Grace Corrigan, addressed the crowd.
And people who gathered also sang a rendition of 'A Woman's Heart'.
In Tullamore, a local candle company donated 500 candles and a local printer donated a sign for people to leave messages.
While musical tributes were paid to Ashling - who was an accomplished musician.
Similar events are being held across the country including Limerick (Arthur's Quay Park) and Belfast (Belfast City Hall).
