SIPTU says staff at Dublin Airport and Aer Lingus aren't calling off a planned work stoppage.
The union says it will discuss the row over pensions with an expert panel put together by the Transport Minister.
SIPTU staff at Dublin Airport, Aer Lingus and Cork and Shannon airports are planning to stop working for four hours three days before St. Patrick's Day.
If the action does go ahead on Friday March 14th, it's feared it'll affect thousands of air passengers for much of the day.
SIPTU's Dermot O'Loughlin says “SIPTU representatives will enter into discussions with the expert panel over the coming weeks with the aim of finding a resolution to this dispute."
He also says “The committees have also decided that industrial action planned for Friday, 14th March, will proceed.”
Leo Varadkar says he's confident the action will be avoided eventually.
