An undertaker is being investigated over whether he stole cash from the homes of dead people.
The Dublin funeral home worker was questioned following a sting operation.
The undertaker is involved in preparing bodies before they're escorted from their homes to the mortuary.
The Irish Independent reports that he was arrested and questioned recently about two thefts and gardai are now trying to establish if there were more.
The paper says officers carried out a sting operation, after suspicions were raised, by placing marked notes in a room where a body was lying to see if they were taken and they allegedly were.
The man was arrested and questioned and file is being sent to the DPP.
Gardai said in a statement: ''An Garda Síochána in the Dublin Region are investigating 2 incidents of alleged theft.
A male has been arrested for these alleged offences under the Criminal Justice (theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2011 and was detained at a Dublin Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time.''
