A secondary school in the east of the country is to be shut down for two weeks after being linked to the Republic's first coronavirus patient.
All pupils and teachers are being treated as close contacts of Ireland's first confirmed case and have been asked to "restrict their movements".
Last night the Department of Health confirmed a male in the east of the country tested positive for the virus after travelling here from northern Italy.
It says all parents have been notified, and no other schools are affected.
