Two Dublin teenagers have been jailed for nine years for the murder of Tristan Sherry, who was attacked after shooting a man in a restaurant in Blanchardstown.

David Amah, of Hazel Grove, Portrane Road, Donabate; and another teenager, who can't be named because of his age at the time, were sentenced today.

Jason Hennessy Snr was having a Christmas night out with family and friends in Browne’s Steakhouse in Blanchardstown when two gunmen entered and opened fire.

Mr Hennessy was hit and later died in hospital.

One of the gunmen, 26 year old Tristan Sherry, was subdued, disarmed and ultimately beaten and stabbed to death.

Today, David Amah was jailed for nine years for his role in the murder.

The 19 year old stamped on Mr Sherry as he lay defenceless on the floor.

He also kicked him in the head and stabbed him.

Another teenager, who can’t be named because of his age at the time, was also jailed for nine years for murdering Mr Sherry.

Three others were sentenced today for violent disorder, including Mr Hennessy’s son, Brandon, who was jailed for four years.

Jonas Kabangu, of Corduff Park, Blanchardstown, and another teenager who can't be identified, were jailed for violent disorder, receiving sentences of three years, and one-year-and-four-months, respectively.
