Two people have been brought to safety following a fire in Monkstown yesterday.
The large blaze broke out at a home in the De Vesci Terrace area, at around 12.35am.
Gardaí from Dun Laoghaire brought a woman (20s) living there - who was in the basement - to safety.
A man in his 70s - who was behind the property - was also rescued.
He was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital, treated for smoke inhalation, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
Three units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.
