A man's has been arrested in connection with an assault on another man on a Luas in Dublin yesterday evening.
Both men, who are in their 40s, were left with serious but non life-threatening injuries in the attack on Mayor Street, and were taken to separate hospitals for treatment.
One's was taken to the Mater and the other's to St. James's - both men were treated for injuries described as serious, but non-life threatening.
The Luas Red Line was disrupted in the Docklands for a time yesterday, but all services returned to normal later in the evening.
The arrested man has since been released without charge.
A file is being prepared for the DPP and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
