Two Dublin men have been found guilty of facilitating the murder of David Byrne, while a ruling is yet to be delivered in relation to Gerry Hutch's murder charge.
The judges were satisfied that Paul Murphy, of Cherry Avenue in Swords, and Jason Bonney, of Drumnigh Wood in Portmarnock, assisted with the getaway.
Paul Murphy and Jason Bonney arrived to court on bail today but were taken into custody after being found guilty of helping the gang carry out the Regency attack.
They both allowed their vehicles to be used in the getaway.
In his defence, Murphy produced taxi receipts to show he was working at the time of the shooting, but the court was satisfied they were inaccurate and unreliable.
Bonney claimed his father was driving his black BMW jeep that day, but the judges didn’t believe him and criticised him for trying to implicate his dead father.
Instead, they accepted the evidence of his brother-in-law who said he was with Jason Bonney’s late father on the afternoon of the shooting.
There’s only one man left in the dock now: Gerry Hutch is accused of being one of two hitmen who shot David Byrne dead.

The judges are likely to spend most of the afternoon outlining the case against him before revealing whether or not they have found him guilty of murder.
