Two men are due in court this morning, charged in connection with the attack on two Gardai in Ballyfermot.
A man in his 50s and one man in his 30s will be brought before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
The two Gardaí, a man and a woman, were taken to St. James's Hospital for treatment after being attacked outside a pub on Ballyfermot Road in the early hours of Monday morning. They have since been discharged from hospital.
In total four people have been arrested as part of the investigation. A woman in her 50s has been charged and released and is due to appear in court at a later date.
A man in his 40s remains in custody.
Meanwhile, the community in Ballyfermot will gather today to show solidarity with the two injured Gardaí. It will take place outside Ballyfermot Garda Station at 4.30 pm.

Fianna Fáil councillor Daithí de Róiste says locals are absolutely appalled by what happened;
"It doesn't represent the people of Ballyfermot, it doesn't represent the spirit of Ballyfermot and by coming together for this event we're just looking to show solidarity with the local members of An Garda Síochána."
