Two men have appeared in court charged with assaulting gardai in Ballyfermot.
Both were remanded in custody with consent to bail.
35 year old Steven Byrne of Ballyfermot Avenue and 54 year old Anthony Grogan of Cherry Orchard Park - both in Ballyfermot - were each charged with two counts of assaulting a garda, and one count of violent disorder.
The court heard there was no reply under caution in the cases of both accused when charged at Ballyfermot Garda Station last night.
Two Gardai were injured and needed hospital treatment after the alleged incident on Ballyfermot Road in the early hours of Monday morning.
During bail applications, it was heard in both cases that there is CCTV evidence of the alleged incident.
Judge Paula Murphy said the matters before the court were of a serious nature, and that both accused were entitled to the presumption of innocence and to bail.
Both Mr Grogan and Mr Byrne were remanded in custody with consent to bail.
