Two Dublin men wanted in connection with the death of a man in Amsterdam are due to find out today if they will be extradited.

The body of Keith Ennis from Walkinstown was found inside a suitcase in a canal in Amsterdam almost five years ago.

The well-known Dublin criminal was on the run from Gardai having fled the country while facing gun and drug charges.

The Dutch police are seeking the surrender of Kenneth Brunell from Palmerstown and Barry McArdle from Drimnagh, who were arrested on foot of extradition warrants issued in 2011.

The High Court has already heard that a decision has been made to charge and try the two men in the Netherlands.

However, lawyers for the wanted men believe their extradition would violate their consttitutional rights.

A third suspect, Philip County from Lucan has already been extradited.

Last month, the High Court heard submissions from both sides and adjourned the matter until today when a decision is expected to be made.
