Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of a man in Lucan last month.
Wayne Whelan was found inside a burning car in the Mount Andrew area on Monday November 18th.
The 42 year-old had been shot a number of times before the car was set alight. DNA tests were needed to identify the convicted criminal, who previously survived a murder attempt.
Two men were arrested last Thursday in connection with the investigation.
They have since been charged in relation to the shooting and are due before Blanchardstown District Court this morning.
A woman was also arrested last week. She has since been released without charge.
A file is to be prepared for the DPP.
