Two men have been arrested in connection with an investigation into the gangland murder of Eamon Kelly.
The 65-year-old career criminal was gunned down at Furry Park Road in Killester just over a year ago.
Eamon Kelly was considered one of the country's most senior figures in organised crime when he was shot dead near his home in Dec 2012.
His death was linked to a feud between a number of criminal gangs in the wake of the death of Real IRA member Alan Ryan.
It was the second attempt on his life after a gun was pointed at his head two years beforehand.
On that occasion, the gun jammed and the gunman ran away.
Today, two men were arrested in the capital by Gardai investigating his murder.
They were taken to Clontarf and Raheny Garda stations where they can be questioned for a total of 72 hours, excluding rest periods.
