Two men have been arrested for ‘serious offences’ in relation to the death of a man in Bray.
36-year-old William Moorehouse died following a suspected assault. The father-of-six was found near a playground in the Ballywaltrim area on Sunday and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It's thought he may have been stabbed. Gardaí from the Technical Bureau recovered what are believed to be weapons following an extensive search in the playground, as well as two primary schools, church grounds and a community centre car park nearby.
Thw forensic examination has been completed and the cordon of the crime scene has been lifted.
Yesterday gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 20s and 40s, in relation to his death. They are being held at a Garda Station in County Wicklow.
A post mortem examination is to be conducted by the State Pathologist Sally Anne Collis today, the results of which will determine the course of the garda investigation.
Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward.
