Two men have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in north Co. Dublin last night.
This raid took place at a pharmacy on the Strand Road in Portmarnock at 8:30pm.
A man and a woman were were closing up the store, were approached by two men believed to be armed with handguns.
They threatened the staff and a scuffle broke out with one man receiving minor injuries.
The raiders were described as 5 foot 10, and wearing balaclavas.
They made off in a dark coloured car after stealing a watch.
Local Gardai were alerted and recovered a car at Red Arches in Baldoyle and arrested two men aged 22 and 23 close by.
They are being held at Coolock and Swords garda stations.
