Two men have been arrested after a taxi was hijacked in Dublin early this morning.
At around 2:20 am two men were picked up by a taxi in Castleknock and taken the short distance to Laurel Lodge Road where the driver was threatened, ordered out of the cab and the car taken.
An hour later, a taxi was stopped by Gardaí on the Howth Road and two men aged 20 and 28 arrested.
A knife was also recovered.
Both suspects are being held at Blanchardstown Garda Station where they can be held for 24 hours.
Gardai say investigations are continuing.
