Motorists are being urged to take extreme care on the roads this morning, due to very stormy conditions.

There were gusts of up to 150 kilometres per hour in parts of the country last night, with Met Eireann issuing a Status Red weather warning, which is in place until 3 O' Clock this afternoon.

There are several trees down and spot flooding.

The Howth Rd is blocked at Deerpark Golf Club due to a fallen telegraph poll. Local diversions are in place.

Several trees down on the Swords/Naul Rd (R108) near Roganstown.

Several trees down on Turvey Ave in Donabate.

Two trees down on the River Rd.

Tree down on Eglinton Rd at the Sandford Rd jct.

Excess surface water inbound on the Morehampton Rd and on Leeson St blocking the left lane.

 

Some flights have been diverted, delayed or cancelled this morning as a result of severe gusty winds at Dublin Airport.

Passengers are advised to check with their airline's website before travelling to Dublin Airport.

Meanwhile, there are no Darts between Dun Laoghaire and Blackrock due to overhead line damage.

The 7am Tralee to Heuston services will depart 50 mins late due to storm damage to level a crossing

Meanwhile, Irish Ferries and Stena Line have cancelled some of today's services due to stormy sea conditions.
