Toy helicopters are being used to smuggle drugs into Irish Prison yards, that's according to the Irish Mirror.
Staff at Wheatfield Prison removed one miniature aircraft from netting surrounding the Clondalkin prison.
Speaking to the paper, a source noted it's a new tactic.
These toys are much cheaper than drones - with some selling for €15.
In 2021, the Irish Prison Service installed anti-drone technology at 6 prisons.
When contacted by the paper, an Irish Prison Service spokesperson said the IPS "does not comment on matters such as methodologies used to smuggle contraband into prisons for operational and security reasons."
