Today will be the final full day of the current heatwave with temperatures to reach close to 30 degrees again.
A status orange warning for Cavan, Monaghan, south Leitrim, Roscommon, Longford, Westmeath will run out at 9am.
While a similar status yellow alert for the country will run until tomorrow morning.
Conditions over the weekend are still to be good, however it won't be as hot as in recent days.
Thunderstorms May Not Hit Dublin
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says there could be some thunderstorms later:
"Continuing very warm, a little bit less so in Eastern areas with an increased breeze."
He says the thunderstorms will develop in the South.
They'll then move towards the Midlands, and West.
