Three teenagers have been jailed for an aggravated burglary during which threats were made to rape a woman and cut off her son’s fingers.

They broke down the front door of the her Dublin home after learning she had €30,000 in cash hidden inside.

18-year-old Liam Fox of Rossfield Park, Tallaght was one of five young men who broke into the woman’s home on November 11th 2014.

Her 10-year-old son was also in the house and the court heard they were both terrified during the 25 minute ordeal that only ended when she showed them where she’d hidden €30,000 in cash takings from a restaurant.

Two of the others were also sentenced today but they can’t be identified because of their age.
