Three men have been arrested and a shotgun has been discovered in West Dublin.
Gardai on patrol from the K District noticed a car driving at speed last night at around 8.30pm in the Corduff/Mulhuddart area of Blanchardstown.
The car was discovered on Wellview Grove, and all three men ran from the scene, however they were located and arrested shortly afterwards.
A loaded single barrel Berretta Shotgun was recovered nearby, and has been sent to the Ballistics Unit for analysis.
The men are being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station where they can be held for up to three days.
The car has been seized for technical examination, and investigations are continuing.
