Three men have appeared in court charged in connection with the seizure of cocaine and almost €900,000 in cash in Dublin.

Two of them are facing money laundering charges.

53 year old Patrick Lawlor from Collins Avenue, Whitehall, Dublin 9 is facing two charges of money laundering.

He was arrested after €412,000 was seized from a car on Collins Ave on Tuesday. It’s claimed a further €477,000 was seized during a search of his home.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again next Wednesday.

Ross Hanway of The Beeches, Ashbourne, Co. Meath is facing one charge of money laundering in relation to the cash found in the car.

There was no objection to him taking up bail, which was set at €15,000. His grandmother has agreed to freeze €10,000 of that in her account to secure it.

Patrick Lawlor’s 22 year old son Ian is charged with having cocaine for sale or supply at the home he shares with his father on Collins Ave.

There was also no objection to him getting bail, and he’s due back in court in September.

The arrests were made by officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.
