Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with the theft of tools and tradesmen's equipment.
It followed a planned day of action last Thursday involving searches of premises in Dublin and Galway.
A number of follow up searches took place at locations in the capital yesterday and resulted in the recovery of a large amount of property.
Two men and a woman in their 30s were arrested and charged and are due to appear before Roscommon District court this morning.
Day Of Action
A garda spokesperson says: "As part of the ongoing operation targeting theft of tools and tradesmen’s equipment, Gardaí have arrested and charged three people.
"A planned day of action conducted by Castlerea Gardaí took place on the 8th February 2024, involving searches of premises in Co. Galway and Co. Dublin.
"During the course of these searches two men and a woman, all aged in their 30s, were arrested and detained at Garda Stations in the Mayo / Roscommon / Longford Division.
"A number of follow up searches took place at locations in the Dublin Metropolitan Region yesterday, Monday 12th February 2024 and resulted in the recovery of a large amount of property.
"The two men and woman have all been charged and are scheduled to appear before Roscommon District court this morning, Tuesday 13th February 2024.
"This investigation is ongoing."
