Three men have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary and false imprisonment at a house in Monkstown last month.
A man in his 70s was seriously assaulted during the incident.
Gardaí carried out a number of searches this morning and arrested three men in their 20s and 40s.
They can be held for up to 24 hours.
A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí have arrested three men in relation to the investigation into an aggravated burglary and false imprisonment that occurred at a residence in Monkstown, Co. Dublin on Monday, 21st August 2023.
"A man (aged in his 70s) was seriously assaulted during the incident.
"As part of this investigation, a number of searches were conducted this morning by the Detective Unit in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) East with assistance from uniform Gardaí, the Emergency Response Unit and Armed Support Unit.
"Three men (aged in their 20s and 40s) were arrested this morning and are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Garda stations in South Dublin.
"Investigations are ongoing."
