Three people had to be airlifted to safety after becoming stranded by the rising tide in Dublin.
It led to a multi-agency response at Sandymount yesterday evening. Gardaí and the Coast Guard were alerted to the incident shortly after 8pm.

The Coast Guard and water rescue trained firefighters were involved in the operation to bring the three people to safety.
Gardaí say they didn't need medical attention after being airlifted from the water.
