Drivers who have an e-flow tag won't be able to use them at 3 toll booths from the end of August.
Motorists will have to pay cash at the M1 near Drogheda, the M7/M8 south of Portlaoise and the N25 at Waterford.
Celtic Roads Group said that from the 31st August the barriers will "no longer lift for eFlow customers and they must stop and pay at the pay booths".
The group admitted that "this action by eFlow will inconvenience many of our customers particularly those who use the eFlow tag service", but claimed that "this action is beyond our control".
The group said that it has offered "significantly higher payments" to eFlow, but cannot meet what is being demanded.
