Cutting the number of grades available to Leaving Cert students should help with the marking of certain subjects.
That's according to one of the country's main teachers' unions who's welcoming a suggestion by the Department of Education that the amount of possible grades be reduced to just eight.
At the moment there are 14 possible marks available ranging from an A1 to a D3.
