The Tanaiste says the board of the Central Remedial Clinic have questions to answer about using public donations to top-up staff pay.
Eamon Gilmore says it's inappropriate to use money raised by charities to supplement the pay for senior workers.
His comments follow comments by the education minister Ruairi Quinn that the board of the CRC should resign.
The Tanaiste says the CRC must provide answers.
