The Bernard Shaw is going to re-open on the north side.
The iconic Dublin venue is being forced to leave its south side location, to make way for a new hotel.
The imminent closure has caused widespread outrage at the continued demolition of unique social venues.
Making the announcement earlier this month, the Bodytonic group said "there are so many young creative, clever, smart people in Dublin".
However, it stressed "they need the spaces to meet each other, make plans, and make them happen".
Now, the Bodytonic group has confirmed t0 98FM News it is going to effectively move the pub, art and food space across the Liffey.
The Bernard Shaw will open at the former Porterhouse on Whitworth Road, close to Phibsboro, Glasnevin and Drumcondra.
The Irish Times has quoted Bodytonic's Trevor O'Shea as saying:
"We are pretty much transplanting everything we do at the Bernard Shaw to there".
"Some things won’t fit – we don’t have loads of wallspace for art. There is indoor and outdoor space, but it is smaller", he told the paper.
The Bernard Shaw will launch at its new north side venue at the end of October, the same weekend its original south side home shuts down.
