Temperatures could reach 28 degrees in some places today.
Met Eireann says it’s expected to be the hottest day of the year, and the warm weather will continue into the weekend.
Jean Byrne from Met Eireann says temperatures will peak today, and then stay in the mid 20s:
"Today we expect the highest temperatures of the year so far.
"They'll be up in to the mid to high 20s in places with plenty of sunshine.
"Tomorrow will be dry, a little bit hazier, temperatures will still be warm over the weekend into the mid 20s."
