Temperatures could soar to highs of 25 degrees this week, with dry conditions being forecast over the next few days.
The weather will begin to clear up tomorrow with temperatures set to peak on Thursday.
Met Eireann says it will be a warm week, although it will be a little cooler along coastal areas.
Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather says it will be a sunny run up to the bank holiday weekend:
"The best of the sunshine will likely be in the east of the country.
"It will feel a little cooler on the south and the east coast.
"A spell of nice weather across many parts, and feeling warm in most places."
