A teenager who was assaulted in Swords last Thursday has died.
Marius Mamaliga (19) was taken to Beaumont Hospital in critical condition. It is understood he suffered stab wounds as he sat in his car.
Gardaí say he was pronounced dead at Beaumont Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
A 20-year-old man appeared in court on Saturday, and was charged with causing serious harm to Mr Mamaliga.
Brandon Gavin - of Brookdale Road, River Valley, Swords - was remanded in custody with consent to bail, and is due to appear at Cloverhill District Court on Wednesday.
Dublin District Court heard that Gardaí had CCTV evidence of a male approaching the rear of the car and fleeing 14 seconds later.
It also heard that one hour and 20 minutes after the incident, Mr Gavin handed himself into Gardaí, after his father brought him to Swords Garda station.
The judge ruled that Mr Gavin must reside at his family home, surrender his passport and not apply for alternative travel documents.
