The majority of complaints to the taxi regulator were related to passengers being overcharged.
A new report from the National Transport Authority found 439 complaints were made in total.
14 complaints were related to cleanliness, such as bad smells and stained back seats.
Jim Waldron of the National Private Hire and Taxi Association says while the complaints are not acceptable, some passengers are just disgusting.
"You know, taxi drivers are dealing with people who do lots of different things in the back of a taxi."
"ie - they bite their nails, comb their hair, they pick their nose, they pee in the back of your car or even bring muck in with them from the festivals."
