A teen helpline based in Tallaght is reassuring callers it WILL stay open, despite funding cuts.
'Teenline' has trained volunteers standing by to answer phones every evening and is adamant they won't shut up shop.
Manager Bronagh Walsh says they will pump up their fundraising efforts to plug the gap and told 98fm how they've ended up with a hole in their finances:
Teenline National Freephone number is 1 800 833 634 and it's open 8pm to 11pm, 7 days a week.
It is now open early on Wednesday – 4pm to 11pm.
