Butlers Chocolate Cafe offers a free chocolate, in a small plastic bag, to customers with every hot drink.
School children visited some of the shops in Dublin this week and handed in a petition, urging the company to find an alternative to the plastic.
According to The Times Ireland, the company agreed to trial paper bags in one of it's Dublin city centre shops from next week.
It also says it plans to use them in all stores in the future.
