A status yellow wind warning will come into effect for the county of Dublin from 6pm this evening, as Storm Fergus makes its way across the country.
It's the second storm to hit Ireland in as many days.
Met Éireann is warning some gusts of wind may cause damage, and the Road Safety Authority is advising road users to be cautious.
The warning will remain in place until midnight tonight, and also effects twelve other counties in the east of the country.
The west is to experience the worst of the weather and damage, with Clare, Galway and Mayo under an orange warning.
Thunderstorm warnings are also in place for much of the country, with some thunder expected for Dublin in the evening.
Those near the coast are being warned to expect very strong onshore winds.
