The long awaited Inquest into the Stardust tragedy gets underway in Croke Park at 10am this morning.
Over 3,000 people have been summonsed for jury selection from which 15 will be picked.
48 people lost their lives when fire swept through the Stardust nightclub in Artane on February 14th 1981.
Antoinette Keegan, of the Stardust Victims Committee, lost two sisters, Martina and Mary, in the fire. She thought this day would never come.
''It's going to be a big day for us. We have waited 42 years for this day to come.''
