Staff at ESB will today serve notice of strike action to management after talks yesterday failed to calm concerns over the company pension fund.
Their decision to do so could lead to industrial action from the 16th of December - and the possibility of power cuts.
However Group of Unions Chief Brendan Ogle says both sides are now committed to trying to avert a strike.
