Salary top ups for hospital bosses are back under the microscope this morning.

The head of the HSE is to meet with the chairman of St Vincent's Healthcare Group to discuss the issue.

Last month, it was revealed that St Vincent's boss Nicholas Jermyn earns almost 300-thousand euro per year.

That includes 136-thousand euro from his publically-funded salary - as well as 136-thousand euro in top-ups from private funds - and 20 grand for his car allowance.

This morning he'll meet HSE Chief Tony O'Brien to discuss how to fall in line with public sector pay rules.

The board of St Vincents insists they're tax compliant and not funded by charity cash.

They face a grilling next week though, when reps go before the Public Accounts Committee on the issue.
