Over 10 thousand higher education places have been launched today as part of Springboard+ 2022.
Springboard+ provides free or subsidised courses, from level six certificates to masters degrees, in the areas of new and emerging technologies.
Courses are free for the unemployed, previously self-employed and returners to the workforce.
Employed applicants pay just 10 per cent of their course fees, with level six certificates remaining free.
41.4 million euro has been allocated to Springboard+ for 2022 - since 2011, over €330m has been spent on Springboard+.
Funding is allocated to Springboard+ from the National Training Fund on an annual basis.

- Artificial intelligence
- Climate and sustainability
- Construction
- Energy
- Health innovation
- Logistics
- Online retail
- Creative industries
In the last 12 years, over 90,000 people have taken part in the program.
