Dublin City Council staff will have to gently clean chewing gum off certain Dublin pavements with a spatula.
That's because new rules have been drawn up for construction companies and maintenance workers in historic parts of the city.
According to the Irish Times, the council's identified 300 streets with kerbs, flagstones and cobbles that need protecting.
There'll be a ban on jackhammers, tight restrictions on utility companies digging up streets and clear instructions for cleaning paths.
