SIPTU To Ballot Member At Clamping Company DSPS

SIPTU is to ballot its members at Dublin Street Parking Services for industrial action over a long-running pay dispute.

SIPTU members employed as clampers in DSPS are due to hold a meeting on Monday the 10th of March over the issue.

At the meeting, members will hold a secret ballot to vote on whether they should take strike action in pursuit of a 2.5% pay increase which has been outstanding since 2011.

John King from SIPTU says recent discussions over the target set by DCC of up to 60 thousand vehicles to be clamped a year is not related to the pay issue:
