The Justice Minister says "significant progress" is being made in the investigation into the shooting of a six-year-old in Ballyfermot.
Frances Fitzgerald has been speaking in the Dail about Friday's attack.
Among the items discussed during Topical Issues in the Dáil this evening was the horrific shooting of a 6-year-old boy in Ballyfermot last Friday.
The boy was shot while playing near his home at Croftwood Gardens.
It's believed he was caught in the cross fire when a man cycled up and opened fire at another man.
Today, Labour's Michael Conaghan pleaded with the Justice Minister to do something about it.
In response, Minister Frances Fitzgerald said progress was being made and no stone will be left unturned in the pursuit of the shooter.
One man arrested in connection with the investigation has been released without charge and the boy is said to be recovering well in hospital
