A shot was fired at Gardaí overnight, during an ATM raid in Co. Wexford.
It happened at Ulster Bank in Enniscorthy at around 3:30am.
Gardaí were called to the bank on Rafter Street where a number of armed raiders were trying to steal an ATM.
One thief fired a shot at uniformed officers.
The raiders then made their getaway in a dark coloured car in the direction of New Ross.
The area has been sealed off this morning while Gardaí carry out a technical examination.
Gardaí say a quantity of cash was taken.
