A double-barrel shotgun has been seized in north Dublin.
As part of an intelligence-led operation, Gardaí from the Coolock Drugs Unit stopped and searched a male in his 20s in Priorswood yesterday evening.
A shotgun and half a kilo of cocaine, worth €35,000, was seized. A small amount of cannabis was also found.
The firearm was made safe by officers and will now be sent on to the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau to undergo analysis.
The male was arrested and detained at a Garda Station in the capital under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
