Seven guns have been seized in West Dublin.
Gardai investigating people believed to be associated with serious organised criminal activity carried out a search last night.
No arrests have been made and the firearms are currently being examined.
In the course of ongoing investigations being undertaken by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) involving the targeting of persons suspected to be associated with serious organised criminal activity, a search was undertaken at a location in West Dublin, on the evening of Wednesday, 1st July 2020.
Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll, Organised and Serious Crime says: "The undertaking of this operation leading to the discovery of a significant quantity of firearms reflects the Garda Síochána's unrelenting efforts in tackling serious and organised crime and our determination to keep people safe from those who would use firearms to endanger life."
