The site of the new national children's site hospital in Dublin 8 has been subjected to a series of arson attacks.
Concern's been raised about the frequency and nature of the incidents.
Arson attacks at the new hospital site, that sits beside St James's Hospital in the south inner city, began last summer according to the Irish Times.
A number of incidents were reported to the National Paediatric Hospital Development Board over several months, with members expressing grave concern about the attacks, calling them unacceptable.
It's resulted in cameras being installed, enhanced identification measures for workers and flammable objects being immediately disposed of.
At one point in September the board was in daily and weekly contact with the builder as part of efforts to stop the attacks.
The long running project isn't expected to open until 2024, with costs escalating to €1.4 billion.
