A second man has appeared in court charged in connection with a high-speed rampage through the city last night.
Shane Connell of Belcamp Grove, Priorswood was arrested after a stolen van crashed into a number of cars in Ranelagh.
At around 10 o'clock last night, an Eircom Opel Vectra van was stolen from Georges Street South.
A Garda patrol car gave chase and the van was driven at high speed through the city.
It came to a stop after crashing into five cars in Ranelagh resulting in three people being taken to hospital - one of whom is said to be seriously hurt.
It's alleged the van mounted a footpath, drove at speed on the wrong side of the road and rammed a Garda patrol van as it was being chased.
26-year-old Shane Connell was arrested and appeared before Dublin District Court this evening charged with the unlawful use of a vehicle.
He's been remanded in custody with consent to bail subject to strict conditions, which includes a ban on sitting in the front seat of a car.
Earlier today, 19-year-old Stephen Kelly of Windmill Park, Crumlin was granted bail after being charged with being a passenger in a stolen vehicle
Two others were released from Garda custody.
