A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a large cannabis seizure in Finglas.
He’s the second person to appear in court over the haul.
On Wednesday, gardai from the Special Crime Task Force and the Organised Crime Bureau seized around 190 thousand euro worth of cannabis in Finglas and arrested two men.
This morning 56 year old Paul Goddard of Cloonlara Road in Finglas appeared in court charged with the possession of cannabis for sale or supply at the Clearwater Shopping Centre on the 24th of August.
Garda Redmond O’Leary from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau told the court the defendant replied ‘nothing to say’ when he was cautioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
Mr Goddard was given bail with certain conditions including that he sign on twice a week at Finglas garda Station and that he surrendered his passport.
The 56 year old is due back in court next month.
Yesterday a 45 year old Cabra man was also given bail after being charged in connection with the same haul.
Derek Naylor from Dunmanus Road was given bail with conditions including that he sign on three times a week at Cabra Garda Station.
He is due back in court on the 20th of October.
